LIVE Ghost Hunt Hanbury Arms

The Hanbury Arms Pub in Pontypool, Wales is owned by Tracey and Nigel Turner. This incredibly haunted coaching inn dates from around 1784, and possibly even earlier than that. The building sits on old templar tunnels, was a former coroners court & morgue and also a place of execution where people were hanged for their crimes. The original hanging beam is still visible to this day at the entrance to the cellar. 

It is not only famous for its incredible history but also for paranormal activity which has featured in many news articles in recent times. Staff and visitors alike experiencing ghostly phenomena over the years including workmen downing tools and leaving after feeling icy cold temperature drops and an oppressive feeling.

The Hanbury Arms is home to many spirits and ghosts including a little boy dressed in Victorian clothing, Emily a troubled young girl, a dog spirit, a large man who likes to push visitors, a man singing in the bar, a drunken man who smells of beer, the old coroner, the former executioner roams the cellar, the mourning widow, patrons of the coaching inn and public house, the old landlady and many others have all been seen over the years within the hotel and old stables.

They also have a spirit portal located in the cellar where a strange wild garlic smell has been reported emanating from the cellar morgue.
