Ghost Hunts with Barri Ghai
Barri Ghai hosts immersive public ghost hunts and paranormal investigations at some of the UK’s most historic and reportedly haunted locations.
Drawing on over 25 years of investigative experience and his work on Help! My House Is Haunted and Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted, these events offer participants the opportunity to take part in structured, respectful and professionally led investigations.
Each ghost hunt is designed to mirror real investigative methods rather than theatrical experiences, with an emphasis on research, observation and evidence-led exploration.
"Our first ghost hunt with you and definitely one of the best ones we've done." - Rachael S

What to Expect on a Ghost Hunt
Participants are guided through an evening of investigation that typically includes:
-
A historical briefing on the location
-
An introduction to investigative techniques and equipment
-
Small-group investigations of key areas
-
Quiet vigils and observation sessions
-
Opportunities to participate in controlled experiments
Events are suitable for both beginners and experienced investigators, with guidance provided throughout the night by Barri and experienced investigators from Ghostfinder Paranormal Events.
Locations & Historic Venues
Ghost hunts take place at carefully selected venues across the UK, including historic houses, former prisons, museums and sites of significant historical interest. Locations are chosen not only for their reported paranormal activity, but also for their historical relevance and suitability for structured investigation.
All venues are treated with respect, and investigations are conducted in line with venue guidelines and safety requirements.
Investigation Techniques & ITC / EVP Methodology
Barri Ghai specialises in Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC) and Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP), with a particular focus on controlled audio experimentation and repeatable investigative methods. His approach centres on creating structured environments in which unexplained audio responses, if present, can be documented and reviewed without prompting or suggestion.
During ghost hunts, participants may be introduced to ITC and EVP techniques including:
-
Controlled audio recording sessions
-
Environmental sound isolation and monitoring
-
Structured question-and-response methods
-
Review and playback of recorded audio in real time
-
Discussion of potential contamination sources and false positives
The emphasis is placed on careful listening, patience and analysis rather than immediate conclusions. All findings are treated cautiously, with natural explanations considered alongside any unexplained results.
Barri is also co-creator of the SpiritWave ITC communication app, developed to explore structured audio environments used in modern ITC research.
